ACCORDING TO THE WEALTH-X 2020 CENSUS REPORT, 76 PERCENT OF THE WORLD’S BILLIONAIRES ARE PROVIDED BY JUST 15 COUNTRIES, WHILE THEY OWN 80 PERCENT OF THE BILLIONAIRES WEALTH.
Of the 15 in the United Arab Emirates, the number of billionaires and their wealth has also increased in all countries over the past year. It may not be surprising, but the list is towering high in the United States, where it has 788 billion sea days and a total fortune of $3 trillion.
The Wealth-X 2020 Census report was based on more than one million records from the Wealth-X global database to draw conclusions about the world’s richest people.
In 2019, the number of billionaires in the world increased significantly, by 8.5 percent, to 2,825, and their total wealth also increased significantly, holding over $9.3 trillion after an increase of 10.3 percent. Three-quarters of these people live in the following 15 countries, with a total wealth of $7.6 trillion.
